Payment Information

CookBy does not process, collect, or store any payment or financial information. All payments are handled entirely between you and your mess owner. The platform only displays billing summaries for your reference — no money flows through CookBy.

To process meal subscriptions, orders, and cancellations
To generate and manage monthly bills
To send notifications about your meals, orders, and payments
To provide mess owners with meal counts and subscriber information

With your mess kitchen — your name, subscription details, and meal preferences are shared with the mess you subscribe to, so they can serve you
SMS/WhatsApp provider — Twilio receives your phone number to deliver OTP codes and notifications
Legal requirements — if required by law, regulation, or legal process

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data (profile, subscriptions, orders, bills, cancellations) is permanently removed from our systems.

Access the personal data we hold about you (available in-app under your profile)
Update or correct your personal information
Delete your account and all associated data via our account deletion page
Withdraw consent for WhatsApp notifications by removing your WhatsApp number from your profile

8. Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Our app uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
